Client Support - Billing Policy
The first payment for Web hosting services must be received within 10 days of
the initial start of service or the account will be subject to suspension. Payments
thereafter are due on the 1st day of every month, every third month, every seventh
month or every fourteenth month depending on the contract choosen. If for any
reason your credit card does not clear with the bank, the primary contact will be
notified by email. Any Web account not brought current within 7 days of the email
notice is subject to suspension. Accounts past 30 days overdue will be subject to a finance charge of 2% per month (24% per annum) with a minimum charge of $0.50 per month. Accounts that remain suspended for two accounting cycles will be completely
terminated. Suspended accounts are subject to a $25 reactivation fee.
For credit card accounts all invoice delivery will be via e-mail. For Chequing accounts, all invoices will be mailed. The terms of the Web hosting agreement shall commence on the activation date, and shall continue according to the terms hereof. Written notice is required by the Customer not less than 30 Days prior to cancellation of the Web account. No changes to this agreement will be effective unless agreed to by both, in writing, the Customer and the Global Presence.
Any annual contract, upon expiration of the term, will automatically be renewed, and the Customer will pay the applicable fees, unless the Customer has notified Global Presence in writing prior to the expiry of the term of its intention to either terminate services or to renew it on an annual, semi-annual, or quarterly basis. Provided that if within 60 days following the expiration of the term the Customer notifies Global Presence in writing of its intention to renew the service agreement for an annual, semi-annual, or quarterly term then all monthly service charges paid will be credited towards the annual, semi-annual, or quarterly service.
All customers will be billed in Canadian funds.
Global Presence has several ways for customers to remit their payment.
- Credit Card Payment
Currently, Global Presence accepts Visa and Mastercard. If you choose to keep a credit card file with us, you may pay monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually. If for any reason the credit card does not clear with the bank, the account is subject to suspension. Any account not brought current within a week of e-mail notice is subject to suspension. Your credit card information can come to us in one of three ways.
- Online - By utilizing our SSL encrypted Online Signup Form,
all of your account information, including your credit card information, comes to us
securely. This allows us to setup your account by the next business day, if received
before 6:00 p.m. EST.
- Phone - You can call us at 1-877-216-2912 during regular business hours (9 a.m. - 5 p.m. EST, Monday - Friday) and give us the information when prompted in the signup process. Your account will be set up on by the next business day if contacted before 6:00 p.m.
- E-mail - You can e-mail us 24/7 at billing@globalpresence.ca and give us the appropriate credit card information including type of credit card, the card holder name, the card number and the card expiry date. Your account will be set up on the same business day if contacted before 6:00 p.m. Otherwise, the account will be activated the next business day.
- Cheque Payment
This option is available to all customers. We accept personal cheques, company cheques, cashier's cheques, or money orders. Do not send cash in the mail. Cheques returned unpaid (NSF) will be assessed a $25 charge. Your account will be authenticated on the day of receipt during regular business hours 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. EST, Monday - Friday. We will contact you by e-mail of your account activation.
During the signup process you will be asked to print out a receipt to include with your cheque payment the first time you remit a payment by cheque. Please write your domain name on the cheque. Please mail cheques to:
